ARRESTED AT CITY COUNCIL FOR SPEAKING ABOUT PALESTINE

On May 27, 2025,  Leah and Conor, two organizers with the Jacksonville Palestine Solidarity Network (JPSN) and a third community member, Dragon, were brutalized and arrested after the Jacksonville City Council singled out Leah for removal for the simple act of clapping. During Leah’s arrest, Conor began to film. As the footage shows, almost immediately after that Officer Maykel Aliaga reached over to grab Conor by the neck, and throws him over a row of chairs. Dragon, as a bystander near, who walked over to check on Conor was subsequently arrested as well.

THIS IS POLITICAL

The only thing Conor is guilty of is standing with Palestine, which our city leaders consider a crime.

The Jacksonville City Council, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, and the State Attorney's Office worked together to make an example of Conor. They wanted to show us what happens to people who speak up for Palestine.

DROP THE CHARGES

Though Conor was found guilty in a shame of a trial, the fight is far from over. We will be appealing the court's decision, and doing everything we can to get these bogus, trumped up charges dropped.

HELP CONOR FINANCIALLY

After the arrest, Conor lost his job after his zionist boss refused to put him on the schedule. Since then, he has had a difficult time finding stable work. He has worked odd jobs and has joined the ILA, but getting consistent work has been difficult, all while fighting these charges and continuing his work in the movement for Palestine. Further, especially since being remanded into custody, Conor has not been able to pay rent or make payments on his bike.

We want to make sure Conor is able to get back on his feet once he's released, and that he doesn't have to worry about bills. He also has his dog, BB, that he loves dearly, and we want to make sure has no issue taking care of her.
